Alberto Picó Soriano (1997), born in Elche, began his musical studies at the Professional Conservatory of Music of Elche, where he received lessons from Ms. Manuela Galiana Cubí, finishing his studies with honorable mention. He completed his Higher Degree studies at the Superior Conservatory of Music of Murcia, with the highest grades and honors, under the direction of the piano professor Ms. Pilar Valero Abril, combining his piano studies with those of the harpsichord together with Andrés Alberto Gómez Rueda.
Likewise, he has completed the Master's Degree in Musical Performance and Research at the Alicante Conservatory of Music with Mr. Jesús María Gómez, professor of piano, obtaining the grade of outstanding. He has taken piano improvement courses with pianists such as Ana Guijarro, Guillermo González, Eldar Nebolsin, Boyan Vodenichtanov, Alexander Kandelaki, Aquiles Delle Vigne, Michael Wladovsky, Albert Atenelle, Massimo Gon, Jesús Gómez and Agathe Leimoni, among others. Driven by his interest in chamber music, he has received lessons from Nina Lee, cellist of the Brentano Quartet. In 2017 he participated in the recording of the album: “Chopin, the poet of the piano”, distributed in the region of Murcia through the newspaper La Verdad and recorded under the Asociación Promúsica Molina de Segura.
Having a predilection for orchestral music, he has collaborated as a pianist and harpsichordist with various groups such as the Youth Orchestra of the Region of Murcia, the UCAM Symphony Orchestra or the Ciudad de Elche Symphonic Band. He has also performed various concerts in Brussels (Kasteel D'Ursel and L'Atelier) and in Spain (Palau de la Música in Valencia, Gran Teatro de Elche, ADDA, Víctor Villegas Auditorium in Murcia, El Batel Auditorium in Cartagena, Murcia Cathedral, Sala Stables of Murcia, La Llotja of Elche, Adoc Auditorium of Elda, Miguel Ángel Clares Municipal Auditorium of Algezares, Royal Casino of Murcia, Cam Culture Classroom of Elche, Villa de Molina Theater of Molina de Segura, Mudem Museum of Molina de Segura, Cam Murcia Culture Classroom, Arqua Museum of Cartagena, Cajamurcia Culture Classroom of Murcia, Villajoyosa Music House Association, Almoradí Municipal Auditorium...).
In 2021 he took part in the Alicante Contemporary Festival, held in the Auditorium of the Alicante Provincial Council, playing the complete piano solo by Óscar Esplá along with other pianists in the concert “Óscar Esplá y sus influences”.
He has belonged to the faculty of the Professional Conservatory of Music of Elche and the José Pérez Barceló Municipal Conservatory of Music in Benidorm. Currently, he combines his concert activity with his work as a teacher, being a repertoire pianist at the Ana María Sánchez de Elda Professional Conservatory of Music, where he obtained a definitive position by competitive examination. In addition, he is completing a Doctorate in Art: Production and Research, at the Universitat Politècnica de València, completing his doctoral thesis on the work for solo piano by the composer Manuel Seco de Arpe.
